With more than 25 years of experience in marketing and communications, Stacy Berns founded Berns Communications Group, LLC (BCG) in 2002 to answer the need for a sophisticated boutique corporate communications firm in the consumer, retail and fashion space. Numerous strong and long-lasting relationships with the fashion and retail industry's top executives and CEOs are what set Stacy apart. Her track record demonstrates a unique ability to match the news and feature requirements of the press with the complex messaging needs of her clients. Stacy has created PR strategies around events such as company launches, store openings, and new product/service announcements, and she actively advises many of the retail and fashion industry's most high-profile thought leaders, including Li & Fung, Financo, Telsey Advisory Group, The Doneger Group, and many others. Her transactional work includes M&A deals, private equity investments, IPO work and other financial announcements. She has an innate sense of what the story is. Her particular strength lies in consistently presenting a well-defined position and unified messages to each corporate constituency, be they clients, investors or other key audiences. With deep expertise in the consumer and business services industries, this award-winning communications executive has developed and implemented strategic corporate communcation programs for such high-profile brands as Donna Karan, Saks, and Gucci, among others. Stay has developed and executed corporate visibility campaigns for more than 200 public and private companies, all the while building solid and long-standing relationships with the national business media. Throughout the years, Stacy has played an instrumental role in some of the most significant CEO events in fashion and retail, such as the World Retail Congress, The Financo Forum, and several FIT programs, including its student competition at the WRC. She has spearheaded industry events for Financo, Mother's Day Council and Father's Day Council, and collaborated on major fundraisers for Fashion Delivers and K.I.D.S. In 1999, Ms. Berns was honored with the Silver Anvil Award for excellence in investor relations media relations for her work on The Children's Place Retail Stores account. Prior to founding BCG, Stacy was a principal at Morgen-Walke Associates for almost 10 years, where she was responsible for overseeing the corporate media relations department of this leading investor relations firm. Stacy has written articles for The Boston Globe and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northeastern University. Stacy is a lover of fashion and has a passion for yoga and holistic health. Two years ago, she founded Beauty Foundation Friends with her two teenage daughters. The non-profit empowers teens with cancer, promoting friendship and encouraging teen participants to raise money and volunteer.
