Rick Watson is the founder of RMW Commerce Consulting a boutique consultancy specializing in the eCommerce industry. With over two decades of experience sharpening his operating skills in executive roles at industry leading firms, he is now advising eCommerce companies of all sizes in overcoming their roadblocks to growth. Rick was one of the first employees at ChannelAdvisor (NYSE:ECOM) where he spent 10 years launching several of the company's most innovative flagship services to accelerate sales for retailers and brands on eBay and Amazon. Rick was then recruited to initiate the third-party marketplace at Barnes & Noble.com, expanding the company's product catalog by over 1M items. After the successful marketplace launch, Rick became CEO of Merchantry, a leading provider of product information management software, which he led to a $30M exit through acquisition by Tradeshift. Most recently, Rick directed the cross-border product strategy of Pitney Bowes, a $450M business, comprised of Borderfree and eBay Global Shipping Program. Rick has been a featured speaker on Bloomberg, several global eCommerce industry events, and a contributor to the Wall Street Journal. He holds a M.S and B.S. from Vanderbilt University in Electrical Engineering.
