Lee Rafkin is President of Rafkin & Company, an independent brand consulting firm founded in 2002 and based in New York City. Lee has over twenty-five years of experience as a brand consultant, a market researcher, a chief marketing officer, a start-up entrepreneur, and a classically trained CPG brand manager. He specializes in consumer and customer insight, branding, strategy, naming, brand identity, and brand management. Lee brings expertise, passion, and trusted advisor skills to every project. He loves to strategize, design, write, teach, and sell ideas. He is comfortable in the boardroom, in the conference room, and out in the field. Previously, Lee was managing director of Consumer Dynamics, an insight-driven brand consulting firm based in New York City, where he led a wide range of global insight, strategy, and branding projects for Estée Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, Tom Ford Beauty, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Novartis, Medtronic, PepsiCo, Starbucks, and others. Prior to this, Lee was a global director and practice leader at the branding firm Siegel+Gale, and an executive director and head of Latin American brand consulting at FutureBrand, where he oversaw offices in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile. Lee delivers global experience, innovative thinking, bold creativity, and exceptional client service on every project. He is a business-building generalist who strongly believes in cross-pollinating insights and best practices from seemingly unrelated categories. Lee has worked with a wide range of Fortune 100 to start-up clients in media, advertising, entertainment, technology, retail, health care, financial services, consumer products, fashion & beauty, spirits, non-profits, and government. He has led engagements throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia, and North America. Lee speaks conversational Portuguese and Spanish. He earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Brown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
