Bryan Harris has spent more than 40 years in the marketing communications industry and has inspired a generation of professionals with his insight, strategic counsel and thought leadership. He joined Taylor, a leader in sports, entertainment and lifestyle PR, in 1989 and managed a wide variety of accounts for leading global brands such as Bristol-Myers, GSK, Gillette, MasterCard, Pitney Bowes, Fox Sports and Panini America.
From 2004 to 2022, Bryan served as the agency’s Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner. During a period of significant growth and evolution for Taylor, he oversaw the development and transformation of the agency’s core operations functions, including finance, IT, and HR. He also managed agency marketing initiatives, which included all aspects of branding, owned social media channels, and awards and recognition, and played a pivotal role in business development. Today, he remains a shareholder, consultant and advisor to Taylor.
From 2013-2016, Bryan served as a director and treasurer for the PR Council, where he founded and chaired the Council’s COO Group, a peer network of senior operations executives at leading agencies across North America.
Since 2019, Bryan has been and investor/advisor with FlexIt, a New York based company that is disrupting the connected fitness space.
Bryan graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania (College ’83), where he was an award-winning sports editor and columnist for The Daily Pennsylvanian. His devotion to his alma mater and dual passion for anthropology and sports never waned as evidenced by Bryan’s ongoing consultative and philanthropic efforts for the Penn Museum, which boasts one of the world’s great collections of antiquity. He is also a supporter, advisor and mentor to The Daily Pennsylvanian as well as to Penn’s department of intercollegiate athletics.
Since 2016, Bryan has been active with Garner Arts Center in Garnerville, NY. He helped found the Ned Harris Education Studio, named in honor of his father, who was a revered presence at the arts institution and has provided funding for the development of Garner Arts’ expansive new gallery space, Gallery 35, which officially opened in March 2023.
